Soichi Funaki is the real name of Funaki WWE superstar born on August 24, 1968 in Japan. From the land of rising sun this superstar with the height of 5 foot 7 inches and containing the weight of 81 kg is one of the most popular star of the WWE history with the clear vision of fight Funaki Wrestler is one of those wrestler who know how to put down his opponent. Now currently Funaki is living in United States of America at “San Antonio Texas” and is a part of world Wrestling Entertainment in a Cruiserweight division.

Early Career
Funaki early wrestling career starts form Japan where he participate in different wrestling organization to make his wrestling career on the top of the world for this purpose he firstly join the Fujiwara Gumi promotion with his Shoot Style. Then when he realized that lucha libre style is more beneficial then the liking, so he leave Fujiwara’s Gumi and joins the Great Sasuke’s promotion and there he joined with the great wrestler of the time TAKA Michinoku, Dick Togo and Mens Teioh. Funaki also take part in the Universal Wrestling Association and there he got a chance to win the Middleweight Championship on March 19, 1997 from his foe Pantera in Japan.

Funaki WWF career starts when he and his other wrestling friends join the WWF in back 1998, in his starting time he feuded with TAKA Michinoku then he separated. In 2006 Royal Rumble funaki got a chance to face and win the Cruiserweight Championship from the Kid Kash, this one fall match was between the champion of Cruiserweight Kash and funaki along with other 4 former cruiserweight champions, in this match Gregory Helms pinned funaki and other wrestler to win the match and title of Cruiserweight Champion.

After this Funaki turnes toward the Scotty 2 Hotty and regularly coming in WWE Velocity and WWE “SmackDown” editions. Funaki was unconscious in just two minutes in 2nd Grade Concussion in the Velocity taping, since that time he resumed wrestling and start forming tag team with Scotty and WWE decide to put him on new upcomming debutiong matches both in tagteam and single matches. Funaki with his high flayer action is one of those wrestlers who have great partcipation in the WWE history and make fans happy with their action and other activites.
